FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES (FBOs):
• A seasoned commercial designer with at least 7 to 10 years of experience from conception to completion of MEP/ HVAC related
• Ability to work cohesively with inhouse design team, construction team + sub contractors (including sub MEP + HVAC contractors)
• Always ensure “high response ”executions to ensure all work meet tight timeframe
• Possess a high level of experience in problem solving
• Keen eye for site conditions and details relating to MEP/HVAC + design requirements
• Work closely with QS, C.C.O, + Club Design team
• Ensure all latest innovations, cost savings + safety standards are adhere to all projects
REPORTS TO: Chief Creative Officer (or Senior Club designer) + QS Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CRITICAL DRIVERS:
60% CREATIVE WORK EXPECTATIONS
Site visits + meetings, including reviewing conditions, existing plans, permits, electrical, plumbing capacity + building codes.
Proposal for retro fitting or new installation of HVAC (Heat, Ventilation, Air-Con + Chiller) + MEP (Mechanical, Electrical + Plumbing) systems.
Requirement for at least 2 options – effecting cost, time + capacity requirement
Understanding the requirement of each club or clinics to ensure we don’t over design or under design
Possess a great understanding of a wide range of technical software such as AutoCad, Revit, SketchUp, Word + PowerPoint
Create a system or form of measures for scheduling, budget + 3rd party vetting check-list.
Responsible for all initial technical drawings + ensure all standards are met by Vietnam law. Adjustments can be made alongside appointed sub-contractor.
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
Weekly team meeting (to include QS, RED team, sub contractors + club design team (if needed)
Meeting all deadline assignments is a must
Enable sharing of new ideas + techniques with team is encouraged
Always exercise full transparency + respect for all team mates including contractors, vendors + site team
40% PROJECT MANAGING & EXECUTION
Manage HVAC/MEP designs from concept to completion + make necessary adjustments effecting in timelines, cost + safety
Collaboration is encourage for inputs to ensure a better outcome for all of our projects
Must communicate in a professional manner to all team members with respect + understanding for constructive criticism
Possess excellent knowledge of all HVAC/MEP in commercial projects
Always strive to better own knowledge of design + latest innovations in HVAC/MEP
to ensure FLG group of companies are the most efficient, cost effective + innovative in Vietnam.
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
99% work must meet required deadlines (VO to be +/- 1%)
Checking + recheck all works including regular site visits + proper communications
Ensure full transparency in recommendation of sub-contractors or vendors (when needed)
Possess the authority to question any questionable practices by sub-contractors
Must work closely with QS to ensure all BOQ, quality of works/supplies, budget + timeframes are met
