PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
This is a very exciting role in a dynamic & forward thinking DMC. The role is to provide a business development support function to the Vivu Journeys Sales Offices preparing and winning new business & supporting existing accounts. The primary purpose of this role is coordinate new business proposals for Vivu Journeys operating countries & assisting on account management of existing clients in a proactive and professional manner. The right candidate needs to be hungry for success personally and professionally and work well within a global team, but also have the ability to work autonomously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1/ Business Development Support
- In conjunction with BDMs and Sales GM’s, coordinate proposals to win new business including:
- Coordinating cold pitches from sales wish-lists for each source market
- Understand who we are pitching against and what areas we need to focus on (i.e. price, product, service)
- Coordinate suitable product with the Product team
- Coordinate pricing of proposals with the different country sales teams, financial analyst and contracting, to ensure competitive markup is applied
- Together with Product Manager and BDM, benchmark pricing to ensure the proposal is competitive
- Ensuring an accurate and fast turnaround for any new business
- Assisting BDM with account management of existing accounts
- Assist BDM with re-contracting of existing accounts
- Measured by: Conversion rate - Number of signed contracts - Growth of existing accounts - Client feedback
2/ Communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with all audiences using written graphic and verbal expression.
- Work with in-destination product and reservations teams effectively on bidding and training new accounts
- Measured by: 360 degree feedback from peers and superiors
3/ Time management
- Highly organised approach to work.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time, completing within required time frame and quality standards.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
