FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES (FBOs):
The Art Director is a core member Marketing and Creative Production Team, responsible for conception and producing high-level creative work that helps achieve the company’s business goals.
REPORTS TO: CREATIVE PRODUCTION MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CRITICAL DRIVERS:
A.40% Ideation & Conception
1. Work with content team to come up with concepts for a range of creative solutions both print and digital including ad campaigns, key visual, web assets, photography, social media assets, below the line collaterals.
2. Work with marketing team to deliver successful creative executions, reflective of brand position and proper hierarchy of message.
3. Collaborate with performance team to leveraging testing, engagement, and ROI information to influence creative and drive decision making.
4. Provides direction at photo shoots, including pre-shoot activity such as model and location selection, as well as styling, as needed.
B.30% Hands-on artwork execution, supervise workflow & production
1. Work with copywriters, agencies, production house, vendors in cross-function collaborative projects.
2. Oversees the translation of creative concepts and campaigns throughout all customer touchpoints, on and offline.
3. Works with marketing team through revisions, reviews quality product and delivers final work on deadline.
4. Reviews and directs work of designers, taking quality of design, strategic accuracy, and adherence to company goals and brand style guidelines into account.
5. Participates as a member of the team, taking on the tactical design of projects from start to finish when volume demands.
C.30% Design team management
1. Coaches traditional and digital graphic designers to help further develop their skill set, ensure designs are current and keep them creatively inspired.
2. Proactively identify and recommend new approaches to improve our creative products using latest design trends & best practices
3. Additional responsibilities & projects as assigned.
