Project & Engineering Manager

* Engineering:

- Manage engineering team and coordinates all activities of engineering department related to design, process, projects and equipment maintenance to ensure the business operation in three factories.

- Lead all related projects in 3 factories

- Be responsible for engineering schedules like electrical, project, maintenance,… to achieve maximized capacity utilization on manufacturing operations and superior product performance.

- Implement, monitor all  preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure minimum machine breakdown time.

- Implement  programs such as: TPM and visual management system  for all assets, processes and operators to ensure continual improvement in both machine lifetime and productivity.

- Generate and provide engineering plan, direction, and coordination for all technical activities like new product design, test procedure and engineering process to meet the product supply objectives.

- Base on the market demand provided by marketing department to analyse and define technology trend and human resources needs in order to provide a proper solution to ensure the project outcomes.

- Work with engineering team to develop  operation/maintenance SOP, trouble shootin guild…

- Take leader to coordinate with production and QA to implement all activities of continouly improvement  to reduce down time and improve OEE in all factories.

- Be accountable of  engineering procedures and policies compliance to make sure sustainable operations.

- Manage and control engineering department budget to deliver the excellent support  with the optimum cost.

- Manage the acquisition, tracking, modification, and obsolescence of all production assets.

- Facilitate the transfer of technical knowledge and technology from different sources ( All factories of Pham Nguyen and suppliers…).

- Proactively to benchmark and share best practices aiming to continuously improve the product supply capability of Pham Nguyen Company.

- Manage the processes of handling, maintenance and using  spare parts in all factories

- Develop manitenanace system and report system for engineering team.

- Develop and organize maintenance related training for technical staffs as  well as operators.

- Ensure all implemented programs are run well.

- Work with R&D as manufacturing represent to lead all product development projects related engineering .

-  Manage all project activities of CAPEX and cost within planed.

- Ways to Measure Accomplishment:

+ Timely development and implementation of new/improved maintenance section, process section and engineering projects. Quality of the processes/projects, improvement on actual business results from the projects.

+ Key indexes on Safety (incident rate, Safety and Occupational Health Programs rating),

+ MTTR and MTBF, % completed of work orders,

+ Key asset management indexes (waste, down time, process reliability, output…) on the related assets/processes.

+ SOPs, trouble shooting  in place.

+ Increase life time of machine parts and productivity.

+ Reduction of maintenance costs.

+ Complete all project activeties on time

* Human Resources

- Coordinating with HR to recruit the Teams

- Implementing the performance management process to the Teams in line with mill/department directions/policy.

- Do the salary review for the teams

- Provide constructive coaching & feedback, recognition to the Teams and support functions.

- Develop Development Plan for the Teams as well as training programs to meet their position qualification requirements.

- Expected End Result : Strong commitment and contribution of team members toward business and personal achievements

- Increasing number of completed projects towards set targets

- Empowering working environment.

- All teams member have both performance & development objective in place.

- Degree of mechanical or electrical engineering. Engineering knowledge automated production lines of consumer goods is preferred, Minimum 10 years in engineering management positions.

- English fluency in both writing and speaking.

- Computer: Intermediate level. MS Office Packages ( Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint ), Internet & network applications, ERP Systems, AutoCad and other applications software.

- Knowledge of modern engineering management methods and quality management systems: TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GMP & HACCP.

- Experience in

+ TPM, improvement process tools

+ Lean Sig Sixma   

+ Tools application : 5S & housekeeping , Safety, Visual management, Standardization,  SMED (quick change over), Gemba walk, Kaizen concept, WCM. …

+ Change Management

+ Project Management.
