1. The Candidate:
a. Language skill minimum requirement:
• Vietnamese – native
• English reading – able to fully comprehend with English email and IT technical writing
• English writing – short sentences
• English listening – able to understand slowly speaking English
• English speaking - short sentences
• Chinese – preferably conversational skill
b. Minimum Work Experience
i. 1 year working as IT Project Coordinator, or as ERP Coordinator, or
ii. 2 year user experience of using ERP systems in manufacturing sector
c. Technical Skill
i. Experience on general business work flow within various departments, and
ii. Experience on using Excel formulas manipulating business data, and
iii. Experience on writing user manuals
d. Education:
i. Diploma or College degree, computer or business related study, or
ii. Minimum 4 years of user experience on ERP working as in-house staff
2. The role
ERP Coordinator
Generally speaking, an ERP Coordinator is a non-technical IT role, has intuition on business data, is interested on business processes, and has good Excel skill. The Coordinator is a communication bridge between business users and IT - users bring up the requests or problems, IT provides the solution.
a. Operations responsibility:
i. Ad-hoc query / report building using ERP, Excel, and Query Tools provided.
ii. Documentation of business processes & ERP system
iii. User account administration in ERP
iv. User Training especially for Vietnamese speaking users
v. ERP tier 1 support – prelim analysis, troubleshoot via duplication of symptoms, triage instances based on severity, and channel problems to central IT in HK.
vi. Change management – internal testing & coordination of ERP change releases w / users
b. Project responsibility:
i. Participate in user requirement gathering & analysis meetings
ii. Translating User’s request to written specifications, especially from Vietnamese to English.
iii. Conduct internal testing
c. Major IT Application Systems responsible for
I. Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) – a vendor customized proprietary MRP that is Bill of Material centric. Front end is rich function thick client with SQL Server as backend database. The Vietnam MRP is linked to other Ortholite branches. Continuous and centralized system improvements / enhancements require a resident ERP Coordinator in Vietnam to function as an effective bridge between the local Vietnamese staff (about 100 MPR users) and the English / Chinese based Asia IT staff and vendor.
3 .Working Conditions
I. Working Hour
• Monday to Saturday
• 8am to 5pm (lunch provided at the company canteen)
II. Salary
• Negotiable, depending on experience and language skill
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Allowance (if any)
(Allowance is for covering transportation, living etc.)
III. Other Benefits
