The American School is located in the tranquil suburb of Thao Dien, in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 2, approximately twenty minutes from the city center. There are landscaped areas with a swimming pool, a soccer field, and a basketball court. The American School features two libraries, three science labs, four computer labs, a dance studio, and a drama studio. Wireless internet access is available throughout the campuses. There are 39 full time faculty members in the Secondary School, and 31 full time faculty members in the Elementary School. The majority of teachers come from the United States. Teachers from other English-speaking countries make up approximately one quarter, and bilingual Vietnamese teachers 13%.
