- Determines specifications or procedures for tooling, requirements, set-up procedures, machine operation, work-piece dimensions or numerical control sequences using blueprints, instructions and machining knowledge
- Capable of designing, building and implementing fixtures for both mass production and odd size/shape work pieces
- Set-up adjust and operate machine control to position tools or regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow to produce precision metal parts and materials as specified by work order, blueprints, drawings, templates or layouts
- Mounts, aligns and secures tooling, fixtures and work-piece on machine chuck or vise.Start and stop automatic operation of numerical control machine parts or test set-up, work-piece dimensions or programming. may adjust machine control when automatic programming is faulty or if machine malfunctions
- Troubleshoots and improves machining processes as required in order to meet quality and productivity requirements
- Creates and maintains Work Instructions and Visual Aids
- Trains operators on product knowledge, machining processes, gauging methods and equipment operation
- Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, follow directions form a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals, objectives, exhibit initiative and commitment
- Participates in Cross Functional Teams for solving quality problems
